Jean Patou entered the world of haute couture in 1919, and the fragrance world in 1925. Style, simplicity and an emphasis on taste, fine fabrics and innovative workmanship were integral to his work. All JEAN PATOU PARIS fragrances are created by an in-house parfumeur, who oversees their production and quality, maintaining exclusive supplies of Jasmine and May Rose from private fields of Grasse to ensure that fragrances remain as outstanding today as they were more than 70 years ago. To make the Parfum flacons, cut glass is polished and brushed using age-old methods of genuine craftsmanship then decorated with gold leaf and filled drop by drop. The ground glass stopper and hand-wound gold thread make each bottle of perfume a jewel.
