How the Pros do it
At the Daniel Sandler Makeup Studio we choose 3 shades that are closest to your skin tone and apply them in 3 stripes along the jaw line, before checking them under natural light. Don’t be afraid to go outside and walk around before deciding. The most invisible is your perfect Base and your new best friend!

Concealer

Daniel Sandler Concealers, take cover in an emergency.

The best concealers are light reflecting with a little bit of yellow tone to neutralise the blue tinge that most people have around the inner corner of their eye.

How the Pros do it
Apply with a fine brush similar to a lip brush to the darkest area. Blend (don't drag) with your middle finger and wipe away any excess with a cotton bud. Go easy on powder here as it will enhance fine lines.

Daniel Recommends:
For heavy duty camouflage of spots and imperfections choose my Knock It On The Head, or Hide It for light, fresh coverage of dark circles and uneven skin tone.

Rehydrate your concealer with a brush dipped in a little moisturizer

On the Loose

Daniel Sandler Super Powders without the huff and puff. All-over shimmer can flatten and hide the contours of your face so non-shimmery powders are best, and save highlighter for accentuating certain areas such as cheek and brow bones.

How the Pros do it
Dip a large brush into powder then shake gently before sweeping over your face in light downward strokes. If you prefer a powder puff, dip it in the powder, shake off excess then use a gentle rolling action to press it over your face. Use the lightest touch when applying powder, especially around the eyes, there’s nothing more age-ing than a floury face!

Chic Cheeks

Daniel Sandler Blush the cheek of it.

Everyone looks younger with a little colour in their face, so always have 3 shades in your bag. One should be a nude shade to contour under the cheek bone, one rosy to give a fresh glow in the apple of your cheeks, and one shade to highlight your cheekbones.

How the Pros do it
Smile and apply Blush to the apple of the cheeks. If you have a slightly round face then just sweep the brush up and outwards towards your hairline.

Eyes Queen

Apply the lightest shade over the lid up to the brow as a base. The mid-tone then goes in the socket and under the eye close to the lashes and slightly blended out and up towards the temple area. Then the darkest shade is applied close to the upper and lower lashline.

For seriously thick, luscious lashes, look no further than my Lush Mascara in black, black and black. I don’t believe in any other shade of mascara, day or night, you simply don’t need it! For flirty, daywear lashes my Jet Mascara adds length and condition with a natural finish.

How the Pros do it
Curl your lashes and apply mascara to the top lashes paying particular attention to the outer edge to help open up the eye. Add a little to your lower lashes for definition.
