How to shampoo your hair correctly
by Philip Kingsley
You Will Need:
- Wide tooth comb
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Warm water
- Towel
Instructions:
- Comb through the hair with a wide tooth saw-cut comb to remove tangles.
- Gently knead your scalp with your fingertips for about 1 minute
- Thoroughly soak the hair with warm water
- Pour a little shampoo into the palm of your hand, rub your palms together then gently apply the shampoo to the hair. Work the shampoo into your hair to lather and at the same time gently knead the scalp
- Add more water to ensure good shampoo distribution and good lather
- Keep running your fingers through the hair to avoid tangles
- Rinse well with warm water until all the shampoo is rinsed out. When you think it is rinsed enough, rinse again to make sure.
- Always apply your conditioner, paying particular attention to the ends of the hair. Use your wide tooth comb to distribute it through your hair.
- Rinse well and wrap your head in a towel to blot the water
Note: Daily washing is recommended, which means only one wash is needed. If you leave two or more days between shampooing, two washes are necessary.
